“La Sciagura”, Andrea Scanzi torna sul palco con un nuovo spettacolo
Cronaca di un governo di scappati di casa
Following the great success of Renzusconi (2018) and Il cazzaro verde (2019-2020), journalist, writer, and author Andrea Scanzi is back on stage with a new political satire show titled La sciagura – Chronicle of a Government of Incompetents.
Based on the bestselling book of the same name published by Paper First, Scanzi delivers a rebellious and irreverent performance, offering a sharp analysis of Giorgia Meloni's political journey. The work lies halfway between information and indignation: “I fully stand by the title of this show. I am fed up with the obsequious attitude of the press towards the premier.”
For the Il Fatto columnist, this government represents a true disaster, disastrous and incoherent. Its actions are recounted with a piercing critique, highlighting the flaws of the right and the culpable evasiveness of an “exceedingly embarrassing” ruling class.
The monologue is irresistible, filled with music, satire, fervor, and civil passion, with no holds barred. Scanzi recounts the serial blunders of Education Minister Valditara, those of Culture Minister Sangiuliano, the investigations into Santanché and Delmastro, the New Year’s fiasco involving Deputy Pozzolo, and the tragically obscurantist theories of General Vannacci.
The show also pays tribute to Paolo Borsellino, who is ignobly referenced by these politicians who have nothing in common with him, and features songs by Gaber and Guccini, whom Meloni loves but evidently does not understand.
This heartfelt and unmissable performance aims to narrate these turbulent times, interpret the present, and resist the inexorable decline of our country’s “politicking” politics.
